Each year we offer $3,500 tertiary scholarships to students enrolled in a Masters of Creative Writing programme at a number of universities across Aotearoa.
The purpose of these scholarships is to support students enrolled on a Creative Writing Masters programme. These scholarships were designed to encourage growth in the industry, to advocate publishing in New Zealand and to motivate the next generation of writers.
This scholarship is for students who have been accepted into a Masters of Creative Writing programme and are embarking on their study. Students will be chosen by the tertiary institute based on the merits of their application and through an assessment of the work they are undertaking. As part of this process, it will be established that the work being undertaken by the applicant does not infringe upon any copyright law. Scholarships are tenable by students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
