We're looking for someone to join our team in a newly created role of Creative Rights Educator / Kaiwhakahaere Whakapa. Sound like you? This 25hr per week fixed term role could be yours.
Creative Rights Educator / Kaiwhakahaere Whakapa
Creative rights are in CLNZ’s DNA. We work with authors, writers, publishers and artists to help them understand their creative rights and how to manage and monetise their work.
In order to grow the reach of our education services, we’re looking to appoint a Creative Rights Educator / Kaiwhakahaere Whakapa for a fixed term to December 2022. The position is supported through the Capability Fund funding recipients | Ministry for Culture and Heritage (mch.govt.nz).
The focus of the role is to design and deliver – both in person and online - a creative rights education programme, along with new digital and physical learning resources. You will have great knowledge of adult learning principles and be a confident, dynamic and enthusiastic facilitator and presenter.
Your public speaking skills may have come from a teaching, performance, or other background and you’re someone who’s always thinking of how to do things differently and keeping up to date with new approaches to learning.
You’ll have the knowledge and skills of the CLNZ Team to call on, but the opportunity is definitely there to make this project your own! Some knowledge of creative rights (copyright, moral rights etc) is useful, but your ability to engage, inform and empower adults is the most important.
While our shared office space is located in the centre of Takapuna the nature of the position is that no two weeks will look the same and you’ll be someone who is comfortable working from anywhere, including doing a reasonable amount of domestic travel.
CLNZ values inclusion and diversity. In all of our activities, we aim to show respect, fair treatment and care for the people who work with us and use our services. Applicants with understanding of te ao Māori, Pasifika or other cultures are encouraged to apply.
You can find out more about us here. If you're keen to to apply, please send a written, audio or visual application with your CV to getintouch@copyright.co.nz by 5pm Friday 6 August 2021. The start date is 1 September 2021. You can also view and apply via the job advert on Seek here >>
