Mel Winder has been appointed as Director to the CLNZ Board in conjunction with the Publishers Association of New Zealand (PANZ) and replaces Graeme Cosslett who steps down after holding this appointment for two terms.
Nau mai, haere mai and welcome to Mel Winder, Managing Director of Hachette Aotearoa New Zealand as she joins the Copyright Licensing New Zealand Board. Mel has been appointed in conjunction with the Publishers Association of New Zealand (PANZ) and replaces Graeme Cosslett who steps down after holding this appointment for two terms.
Mel’s strong governance background, including as a former Vice President of the PANZ Council and as a member of the Book Awards Trust Board, stands her in excellent stead for this appointment.
Mel said: “ I am thrilled to be joining the Copyright Licensing New Zealand Board and look forward to learning about and supporting all the great work the organisation does on behalf of local authors and publishers.”
Board Chair Emeritus Professor Pat Walsh said: “On behalf of the Copyright Licensing New Zealand Board, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Mel. We are delighted to have someone of her calibre and experience and I look forward to working with her.
I would also like to acknowledge Graeme’s immense contribution to CLNZ over the last 6 years and wish him well for the future.”
