Interested in copyright and the development of rights services for Aotearoa visual artists? Applications are now open for a visual artist to join our new Visual Arts Working Group.
The CLNZ Board has established a Visual Arts Working Group to inform and advise the Board on service development for visual artists. The Working Group will develop a work programme to December 2024 that will also outline a recommendation for visual artist representation in CLNZ’s future governance model.
As with other governance appointments, CLNZ has looked at gaps in its knowledge and skills and set out a Skills Matrix (pdf) for this appointment.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is committed to the development of rights services for Aotearoa visual artists
- Understands the various revenue streams available to visual artists with a focus on licensing and royalties
- Is a practising artist in the visual arts sector in Aotearoa
- Follows the various technology developments taking place in the visual arts eco-system
- Is aware of good governance practice
- Can attend all meetings of the Visual Arts Working Group during the term of the appointment (expected to be February, May, August and November each year, in Auckland or online)
- Will abide by the Terms of Reference (pdf) for the Visual Arts Working Group
- Can attend an induction session with the Chief Executive and Business Development Manager prior to the November meeting
In addition to reimbursement of any travel and accommodation costs incurred in order to attend meetings, a fee of $500 per meeting will be paid (plus GST or less any withholding tax, as appropriate).
The term of the appointment will be two years, from November 2022 to November 2024.
