2015 CLNZ Education Awards

2015 CLNZ Education Awards

Introducing our new Teachers’ Choice categories

Mark 31 August 2015 in bold red letters: it’s the cut-off date for submissions for this year’s CLNZ Education Awards! The awards celebrate excellence in New Zealand educational publishing and resource development. This year we are also asking teachers across the country to vote for the submitted resources that they find most useful in their classrooms in primary, secondary and Te Reo Māori so that we can award Teachers’ Choice winners in these categories.

About the awards
The CLNZ Education Awards celebrate the excellent educational resources New Zealand publishers and other providers have recently released in the market. The awards have a strong tradition of recognising those that are doing something new and responsive to meet the needs of students and teachers in New Zealand classrooms.

Our panel of education experts assess submissions in a number of areas: from primary and secondary, to higher education, Te Reo Māori and export. Then, after careful consideration, they name the best resource in each category at an awards ceremony in November.
Submissions for 2015 are now open and close 31 August.

Teachers’ Choice
This year CLNZ are also asking classroom teachers across the country what excellent resources look like to them. We’re inviting teachers to get involved by telling us which of this year’s submitted resources they find the most useful in their classrooms in primary, secondary and Te Reo Māori.

All resources submitted in these categories will also go to our expert judging panel for their selection of the best resources for 2015. This means we will name both category and Teachers’ Choice winners for primary, secondary and Te Reo Māori.

Export and Te Reo Māori specialists join panel
As in previous years, the core panel of judges will be made up of three education experts with strong knowledge and experience of the New Zealand education sector appointed by the CLNZ Board and the PANZ Council.

In 2015 we are also introducing two additional category specialists to our judging panel. These experts will bring their specialist knowledge to help assess and name the best resources in the Te Reo Māori and export categories.

  • Best Resource in Secondary*
