Frequently Asked Questions - Libraries

1. Can I provide copies of extracts from published works to staff?
You can provide single copies of extracts from published works to individuals who have asked for a copy of the material for research or private study. You cannot provide copies to staff who have not asked for the material.
2. Can we keep photocopies of extracts from newspapers and other works in our collection.
No. You must hold the original work. You can only make a copy of any item in the collection of the library to preserve or replace that item in the collection in accordance with section 55 of the Copyright Act 1994.
